Brooks – Warren Russell York, 93, of China, Winslow, and Waterville, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2024. Warren was born in Palermo on March 28, 1931, son to Ida May (Childs) and Horace York. He married the love of his life Rita Veilleux in 1953. He was a devoted and loving husband and father.

Warren worked in the poultry processing industry. He loved the outdoors hunting, fishing, gardening, lawn care, and cookouts with his family.

He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years Rita Marie York, grandson Shawn Sawyer, and two granddaughters Torie and Desiree York.

Warren is survived by his daughter Nancy (Manning) York with her husband Wayne, who was his caregiver for the last ten years; two sons Donald R. York with his wife Brenda of Freedom and James E. York with his wife CeCe of Bangor; grandchildren Kitina Bragg, Jeff Richards, Jason York, Lance York, Donnie York, Dallas York, Jennifer Manning, Tim Manning, Dwayne Manning, Joshua York, and Elizabeth York; as well as many great-grandchildren.

He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
