Clinton, ME – Virginia Mae Collins, 81, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2025, after a battle with dementia at Brewer Rehabilitation Center in Brewer, Maine. Virginia was born on December 11, 1943, in North Anson, Maine, daughter to Arthur and Florence (Trenton) Fletcher. She was a resident of Clinton, Maine, and Frostproof, Florida. Virginia worked at Holiday Inn in Waterville, Maine, as their bookkeeper. She could always be found in her office behind the front desk, until her retirement in 2001. Virginia and her husband, Jerry, loved to spend their winters in Florida following the warm weather. Virginia, or Ginny as so many knew her, was a loving wife, and amazing mother. She was outgoing and energetic, making friends wherever she went. She loved dancing, reading, camping, and spending time with family and friends. She would never turn down a campfire or a chance to gather to sit around with family and friends. To know her was to love her! She was predeceased by both her parents, and her husband Jerry Collins. Ginny is survived by her son Brent Collins with his wife Sherry and his children - Shane Collins and wife Shanleigh, Garrett Collins and husband Dan Nguyen, and Katlyn LeBlanc and husband Scott; Her son Shawn Collins and his wife Michelle; sister Patricia Nelson with her husband Brett and their children Nick and Brettney.
