It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved "Vic" Dean Gillingwater on Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Vic will be remembered most for the love he shared with his soulmate / wife and best friend, Nancy. Together for 13 wonderful years, Vic and Nancy built a life filled with companionship, laughter, love, and unwavering support. Their bond was a true partnership, and their bond was unbreakable and Nancy was not only his wife but his closest friend and constant companion. Vic cherished the life they created together, including the quiet moments, the shared memories, and even the goofy moments Vic loved to have with his wife and best friend. The love they also gave to their two beloved cats, Niko & Sheba who were an important part of their family. His home was filled with the comfort and joy that came from the relationships and connections he held so dear.

Those who knew Vic knew a man who valued people and relationships above all else. He had a caring heart, a kind spirit, and a way of making those around him feel appreciated and loved. Whether through conversation, friendship, or simply being present, Vic left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him and he will never be forgotten. Vic’s greatest legacy will be the love he shared and the memories he created with those closest to him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his mother-in-law, Deborah Roberts; his brother-in-law, Josiah Curtis; Josiah’s wife, Sammy Jo Curtis; brother-in-law, Douglas Curtis Jr., Stepsons Dale Marsh Jr., Jacob Marsh, Brandon Marsh, his sister Tammy Johnson and her husband Willy, his nieces Brook and Ashley and his good friend Ty Parsons and the many family members and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and warmth.

Vic was predeceased by his mother Naomi Anderson, his father Ronald Gillingwater, and his beloved Aunt Bev whom he adored, as they shared their love of the Red Sox and Patriots.

Though he is no longer with us, Vic’s love, laughter, and the impact he made will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
