Thomas L. Breingan, born July 29, 1959, to Thomas F. Breingan and Jean Evelyn Howes Breingan, passed away peacefully at home after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom grew up in East Madison, Maine, where he developed a lifelong love of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and skiing, and he carried that love of the outdoors with him throughout his life.

Tom was a hardworking man who spent 40 years working at Sappi before his retirement. He took great pride in what he built and accomplished throughout his life, including building his own three-story log home in Solon, Maine. That home became the place where he lived for the remainder of his life and where many family memories were made.

Family meant everything to Tom. He is survived by his loving wife, Jessica Breingan; his children, Jenelle Pinkham and her husband, Dusty Pinkham, Melanie Breingan and her partner, Joey Marble, and Craig Breingan; his stepson, Josiah Wyman Jr, and his fiancé Cyara Merry.; and his sister, Annie Johnson, and her partner Brent Zock.

He also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren, many cousins, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, one great great-nephew all of whom were important parts of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. Breingan; his mother, Jean Evelyn Howes Breingan; and many aunts and uncles.

Tom will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his love of the outdoors, and, most of all, his love for his family. The home he built, the memories he created, and the time spent fishing, hunting, skiing, and being with those he loved will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, cousins, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
