Thelma E. (King) Vigue, 87, of Skowhegan passed away to be with the love of her life Earl on Tuesday March 27, 2012 in Skowhegan, Maine. She was born June 30, 1924 in Madison, Maine, the daughter of Joseph A. King and Adeline (Goulette) King Butler. Thelma was educated in Madison and Waterville Schools. She married Earl L. Vigue on July 6, 1946, he passed away in 2007. She worked at Medwed Shoe Company for 21 years and then worked 14 years at the Women’s Correctional Center in Skowhegan, and then worked for Steven’s School in Hallowell for one year. Thelma was a communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church in Skowhegan, and she was a past member of the Skowhegan/ Madison Elks Auxiliary, receiving the award of First Lady Elk. She is survived by her daughter Carol A. (Vigue) Therrien and her husband Ray W. Therrien, her grandchildren: Raymond M. Therrien and his wife Tammy, Shana L. Foss and her husband Fred, great-grandchildren: Alex, Sheridian and Charisma; sisters: Beverly Meinhardt of Seminole, FL, Norma Goff of NH, several nieces and nephews whom she loved all so very much and thought of them as her very own. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, brothers: William and Francis Peters; sisters: Joyce LaBarge and Irene Guarino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday April 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church, Water Street, Skowhegan, Maine with a burial to follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine. The family would like to extend a special thanks to her friends and relatives who have helped throughout the years. A special thanks to Dr. Prokop for taking care of Thelma through the years.
