Stacy L Libby, 46, of Waterville passed away after a long, and courageous battle that she could not overcome on Saturday December 2nd, 2023, in Augusta. Stacy was born in Waterville, on March 27th,1977. The daughter of Hugh Doucette and Bonnie Libby. Stacy attended schools in Waterville and after some time went back to receive her diploma, which she thought of as one of her greatest accomplishments. She held several jobs throughout the years as a waitress, and then spent time working at Rite Aid, as a cashier.
She always had a smile on her face and a Mountain Dew in her hand. She loved to dance. She loved playing games on her phone and talking for hours to everyone she knew. She never outgrew her shows from her childhood, loved Little House on the Prairie and The Wizard of Oz the most. Stacy's life had its ups and downs but through it all her children meant the world to her.
She was predeceased by an ex-boyfriend of 12 years, Lucien Brooks, who remained her friend until the end of his days.
Stacy is survived by her parents, including her stepfather William Powell, who raised her since birth, her boyfriend Chris Violette of Waterville, her three children Dylan York, Joseph Libby-Cornette with fiancé Laura Eldon of Waterville and Kaylee Libby, two half-sisters Melissa with husband Bill of Canaan and Crystal Whittemore of Waterville. William, whom she referred to as her brother, with wife Nicole Chute of Dresden. One nephew Drake Whittemore and four nieces, Chelsea Powell, Renee Proctor, Chantel Whittemore and Ciarrah Whittemore, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Also, a longtime bestie, Crissie Haley.
A celebration of life is planned for Saturday June 29th, 2024, at St. Bridget Center in Vassalboro, Maine 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with graveside services to follow.
A special thanks to all of those who visited with her in her last few months, she was grateful for everyone that took time out of their day to spend with her.
