Waldoboro, Maine – Shane "Shempy" L. Worthley, 57, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, with family by his side. He was born in Skowhegan, on March 22, 1968, son of Donald R. and Ernestine (Hinkley) Worthley. He attended some Skowhegan schools and worked many jobs throughout his life. By far, his favorite was working on the open sea. He loved the water. Shane loved games of horseshoes and cribbage and especially all kinds of fishing... except fly. His favorite thing to do was make people laugh by doing the most outrageous things. He loved his family and friends and would give the shirt off his back to a perfect stranger. He was predeceased by his father Donald R. and brother Barry M. Shane is survived by his mother Ernestine "Momzie" of Skowhegan; his wife Donna of Waldoboro; his son Kris and extended family of Jefferson; his brothers Gary and family of Norridgewock, Les and family of Kernersville, NC; and Allen and family of Skowhegan; along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and their families. A private service will be held with family.
