Rosemarie Gilbert, 70, of Winslow, Maine, died peacefully at home on December 22nd, 2023. She was born January 10, 1953, in Farmington, Maine, to Nathan Levi and Barbara Alice (Rollins) Lake, of Avon Valley. Rosemarie attended Mt. Abram High School and then studied at Kennebec Valley Community College before working as a CNA at Mount Saint Joseph's and Klearview Manor. During her life, Rosemarie enjoyed spending time outdoors with a variety of activities, including camping with her family, four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and hunting. Rosemarie was a strong survivor, having had a heart transplant in 2017. We know that she is free from pain and is reunited with her son Robbie. Rosemarie was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Lendall Lake and Richard Lake, and her son Robert Emile Gilbert. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, James Gilbert; sons Jason Gilbert with his wife Penny and their daughter Jasmine, and Matthew Gilbert with his girlfriend Jennifer and her son Isaac along with their daughter-in-law Jessica Morris and her son Elijah; sister Nellie Rackliff; brother Tony Lake with his wife Linda; sisters-in-law Yvette Lake and Cindy Lake; as well as many nieces and nephews. Rosemarie's family will be planning a celebration of life to be held in the spring of 2024.
