Obituary

Ronda C. Lange, 76, of St. Albans, died after fighting a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Monday July 31, 2017 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. She was born in Bingham, Maine, the daughter of Gerald A. Clark and Marion (Hamlin) Clark. Ronda graduated from the Somerset Academy in Athens, Maine in the class of 1959. Ronda married Michael Lange on September 4, 1980 in Skowhegan, Maine. She worked for many years in area shoe shops, she owned and operated Capricorn Sewing in Skowhegan for several years and she then worked for C.M. Almy in Pittsfield for many years. She was a president of the American Legion Auxiliary Units in Farmington and Corinna. Ronda enjoyed cooking, working in the flower gardens, crocheting and making afghans and watching the Red Sox baseball. In her younger days, she enjoyed short track auto races in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont and NASCAR races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Dover International Speedway. She is survived by her husband Michael of St. Albans; her step-children, Amy Cyr and her husband David of Farmingdale, Matthew Lange of Westbrook, Leslie Obiri and her husband Ronny of Concord, CA; her grandchildren, Nora and Molly Cyr and Gilberto “Beto” and Oliver; her sister, Pat Barker of Athens; her brother, Gerry Clark and his wife Claire of Athens; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Friday August 4, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. Burial will be held at the family’s conveniences at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta, Maine.
