Master Sargent Robert A. (Bob) Mason USAF Retired, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Redington Fairview General Hospital on June 9th at the age of 91.

He was born December 6, 1934 in Meriden Connecticut, retiring as a recruiter after 23 years of service.

On August 6th 1984 he married his lovely wife Sylvia, and the couple enjoyed spending their days together antiquing, and they had 33 wonderful years together.

Bob is survived by his son Paul Mason of Texas, his stepdaughter Cindy Dickey and husband Brent of Madison. Grandchildren Trisha Rotta and husband Larry of Solon, Tracy Dickey Richard of Mercer, Erin Caldwell and husband Danny of North Anson; and 12 great grandchildren.

Bob is predeceased by his wife Sylvia; his siblings Phyllis, Edward, and Donald; and recently his grandson Dustin Gower.

The family would like to thank the staff at Redington Fairview hospital for the kind and compassionate care he received in his last days.

Bob will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His jokes and stories will continue to be shared by all who knew him.
