Randy A. Gilcott, 52, of Canaan passed away Sunday September 11, 2011 in Blue Hill, Maine. He was born October 27, 1958 in Skowhegan, Maine, the son of Wardell A. Gilcott and Madeline (Pierpont) Gilcott. Randy attended Gardiner Schools. He worked for Lobster Webb Company. Randy was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He was an avid Red Sox and Cowboys Fan, loved sports, going fishing and hunting, and playing darts. Randy loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He also loved to make people laugh and was a very funny man. Randy was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Dorothy Gilcott, his daughter Randi-Jean Gilcott, four grandchildren; Kelsie, Riley, Haley and C.J., his siblings; Nancy Strickland and her husband Nathan, Joan Oliver, Brenda Rines and her husband Kenneth, Linda Lancaster and her partner Mel Whitiker, Janice Steward and her husband Terrence, Danny Gilcott and his partner Letha, Sandra Blouin, Theresa Bell and her husband Gordon, Ronnie Gilcott, Ricky Parlin and his wife Crystal, Dana Bannister, David Dannister and his wife Amanda, many nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, son Christopher King, his sister Carolyn Weisbacker, two brothers; Wardell Gilcott and Alan Gilcott. Viewing hours will be held on Thursday September 15, 2011 from 2 pm. To 5 pm at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
