Skowhegan – Philip E Moulton, 67, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023, at Glenridge Comfort Care in Augusta. Philip was born on September 13, 1956, in Sacramento, Ca. He was the first-born child of Paul and Nancy (Sitlington) Moulton. Due to his father's military service in the Air Force the family moved a lot, finally settling in Skowhegan, Maine, in 1969. Phil graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1976 and went to work in the woods. He worked for Madison Paper and then Scott Paper / SAPPI until he resigned due to an injury. Phil loved to tinker on motors and engines which led to the opening of Phil's Small Engine Repair. He could always be found in his garage tinkering on something for himself, his friends, or his customers. He is predeceased by his father Paul Moulton. Phil is survived by his mother Nancy Moulton of Skowhegan, brothers: Perry with his daughter Ashely of Georgia, and Peter of Skowhegan, sisters: Susan and her husband Mike Morey with their children; Tabitha, Nathaniel, Charlotte, Joseph, and Sara of Oakland, and Paula and her husband Jason Whittemore with their children; Kylie, Alyse, and Malai of Cornville, as well as many great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind 3 special friends: Randy Dostie of Fairfield, Rick West of Skowhegan, and John Ames of Norridgewock. A special thank you to Rick and Cherie West for all their help, the staff at Redington Fairview General Hospital, the staff at Maine General Hospital and the staff at Glenridge Comfort Care facility. Visitation will be October 7th, 2023, at 1:00pm at Clinton Baptist Church in Clinton, Maine, with a funeral following at 2pm, along with a reception immediately after.
