Paula Jean Ellis (Salisbury), 74, of Skowhegan, Maine, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, in her hometown. Born on December 28, 1950, in Skowhegan, Paula remained deeply rooted in the community where she was born and raised. Over the years, she built a life centered around family, hard work, and love.
Paula was the proud owner of Paula's Pooch Parlor, a business that brought her immense joy and pride. Her dedication to her work reflected her deep compassion for animals and her commitment to providing care with a personal touch. Through her business, she formed lasting connections with clients and beloved pets.
Family was at the heart of everything Paula did. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Clinton "Sparkey" Ellis; daughter Jennifer and her husband Michael Parisien; sons Jamie Ellis and Justin Ellis; Stepson Eddie Ellis and his wife Jessica; sister and brother-in-law Deb and Ken Martin; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Debbie Salisbury; and sister Donna Bouchard. She also leaves behind several cherished nieces, nephews, fifteen grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren who brought life to her life.
She was predeceased by her parents Faylene Salisbury and Kenneth Salisbury, Sr.; father-in-law Orwood "Sonny" Ellis; brother-in-law Jerry Ellis; and sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Brian Greene.
Paula found joy in simple pleasures crocheting intricate patterns with care, crafting thoughtful gifts for loved ones, camping under the stars, or simply spending time at home surrounded by family. She especially treasured moments with her grandchildren and took great delight in doing things for her children. Hosting holiday dinners was one of her favorite traditions – a time when she could bring everyone together under one roof to share laughter, food, and love.
Those who knew Paula remember her as a strong woman who loved fiercely. Her warmth radiated through every gesture of kindness she extended to others. Though she may not have realized if fully, she was loved more than she knew.
May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
