Obituary

Nancy L. Dickson (Keene) 7/27/1951 - 12/29/2025 Born on July 27, 1951, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2025, with her loving husband by her side. Nancy was a longtime resident of Skowhegan, Maine where she attended Skowhegan Schools. After raising her family, Nancy went back to college as an adult to receive her Bachelor of Social Work degree. She was a Social Worker for many years in Nursing Home Facilities in Central Maine. Nancy married John Dickson on May 13, 1968, and was a devoted wife to her husband for 57 years. She was a proud mother of two girls, Sherry Williams and her husband Roger Williams, of Turner, and Tanya Folsom and her husband Richard (Shadow) Folsom,III, of Skowhegan. Nancy was a cherished grandmother to four grandchildren: Zachary Williams and his wife Felicia Williams of Mt, Vernon, Ashton Williams and his wife Samantha Williams of Waterville, Wylie Folsom and Magnolia Folsom of Skowhegan. Also, a loving great-grandmother to Isabella Williams, Alayna Williams, and Callaway Williams. Nancy had a passion for the outdoors, she enjoyed camping, swimming, and kayaking. Nancy also enjoyed cooking for a crowd, her talents included crocheting and knitting, she loved to give her homemade creations away to brighten someone's day. She was highly regarded and loved by everyone who knew her. Nancy was a courageous three-time cancer survivor demonstrating great strength and resilience throughout her journeys. Nancy is preceded by her mother Minnie, father Clyde Sr., two of her brothers, Daniel and Donald, and her sister Patsy. She is survived by one brother, Clyde, many nieces and nephews, and sister-friend Jacqueline Doucette. The family of Nancy Dickson would like to thank the staff at Woodlands Memory Care in East Madison, Maine for their tender care of our beloved Nancy. There will be a celebration of life at Somerset Valley Remembrance Center located at 19 Washburn Lane in Skowhegan on January 19, 2026, at 2pm. Light refreshments will be served after the service.
