Nancy (Willette) (Aubin) Chamberlain passed away peacefully at Woodlands Senior Living of Waterville on August 4, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1942, to Ralph Lee and Juliette (Lapointe) Willette.
Nancy grew up in Skowhegan, Maine and was the eldest of 14 children. She considered herself a mother as much as a sister to many of the younger siblings. Nancy was driven to achieve much through her education and hard work. She graduated high school in 1963 then traveled to Portland, Maine to follow the dream of becoming a nurse. She worked in the nursing profession for many years and spent time at RFGH as well as Mt. St. Joseph Nursing Facility. Later in life, Nancy returned to college and graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. After retirement, Nancy did a short but classy stint working at GM Pollock in Waterville and Augusta.
Nancy was a devout Catholic and attended both Notre Dame de Lourdes Parish in Skowhegan and St. John the Baptist Church in Winslow where she volunteered
Nancy finally found the love of her life in her husband Philip Chamberlain. Although they found each other in later years, Philip brought her a sense of confidence and self-respect that she had always deserved.
Nancy was predeceased by her first-born son, Major Jay Thomas Aubin, who was taken from her much too soon. Nancy was a Goldstar mother, an elite club no woman wished to be a part of. She was also predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Juliette Willett; her husband, Philip Chamberlain; her siblings Mary Willette; Ralph Willette Jr., Priscilla Speed and stepson, Terry Chamberlain.
She is survived by two sons Joel and Jeffrey Aubin (partner Char-lin Williams); and a stepdaughter and special friend, Sharon Barnett. Her surviving grandchildren include Alicia, Nathan, Thomas, Jeffrey II, Zachary, Elizabeth, and Charlotte Aubin; Stacey Hoffman and Lisa Sawyer as well as 10 siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held on August 14, 2026, at 1 PM at the Canaan Grange.
