Muriel Eileen Merrill, 77, of Skowhegan passed away peacefully on January 22, 2022 at Cedar Ridge Center in Skowhegan. She was born in Baltimore, MD on May 3, 1944 to James and Vivian (Hurley) Wells. Muriel grew up and graduated in Baltimore and worked in Retail Sales. On Aug 7, 1977 she married her loving husband William Merrill Jr. and years later moved to Maine in 1993. Muriel enjoyed reading history books and being on the computer, her years in Baltimore taught her the love of crabbing, which she taught to her husband William. She also loved to travel up and down the East coast. She was a loyal member of Christ the King Parish and the Daughters of Isabella #441 in Skowhegan. Muriel was a loving and kind soul and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her husband William; her children Ray, Melissa, Patricia, Greg, Paula and William III; her brother Ronald Wells of Delaware; her sister Elaine Gardiner of Maryland; and her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Christian Burial will take place later this Spring.
