MiMichael Peter Delnegro, age 55, of Athens, Maine, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving children and siblings. Born on November 6, 1969, Michael lived a life full of service, laughter, and deep devotion to his family and community.
A proud veteran, Michael served as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army. His dedication to helping others continued long after his military service—he was a longtime firefighter, EMT, and correctional officer. Whether responding to emergencies or volunteering at local food pantries, Michael was always ready to lend a hand.
Michael's greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted father to Kate Campbell, Dalton Turner, and Meranda Delnegro, and a doting grandfather to Shai, Piper, Aubree, Ava, Baiz, Tomie, Grayson, Kinsley, Jr, Axl, and Milliana. His grandchildren were the light of his life, and he loved them endlessly.
Known for his wit, big heart, and sense of humor, Michael had a gift for making people laugh and feel cared for. His warm smile, quick jokes, and selfless spirit left an impression on everyone he met.
He is survived by his beloved siblings Joanne, Annette, and Tony.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed the great outdoors—hunting, fishing, riding his ATV, and camping were among his favorite pastimes. Often doing so with his best friend by his side, Robert Pike.
Michael's legacy of compassion, courage, and love will live on through all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held July 19, 2025, located at 920 Farmington Rd in Strong, ME, at 12pm.
