Skowhegan - Michael Coombs, 51, of Skowhegan, Maine, passed away at home on Sunday August 30, 2026, after battling multiple illnesses. He was born in Waterville, Maine September 19, 1974, to Eugene and Cynthia Coombs.

Mike attended schools in Fairfield, Maine and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1992. He continued his education at Eastern Maine Community College earning certificates in Plumbing/HVAC and refrigeration.

He was predeceased by both of his parents and a younger brother Shaun Coombs. He leaves behind his wife, Jody and his son Travis, Sister Stephanie Haney and husband Bert, brother Brian Coombs and wife Brandi, brother Tim and wife Lisa, in-laws Gaylon and Sharon Rogers, brother-in-law Chad Pomelow and wife Deb, brother-in-law Todd Pomelow and wife Tanya, sister-in-law Shelli Rogers and wife Shanna, sister-in-law Beth Pomelow, along with several cherished nieces and nephews.

Mike enjoyed spending time with his family. The truest joy of his life was being a devoted husband and father to his “Little Buckaroo” Travis. He was the best partner I could ask for. He enjoyed simple pleasures like going on a long drive to nowhere and sitting on the patio by the fire with people he loved.

A Graveside Service will be held at noon, on his birthday, Saturday September 19, 2026, at the Sunset View Cemetery on the Mercer Rd in Norridgewock, Maine.

A Celebration of Life will take place immediately after at the home of Mike’s in-laws, 31 Upper Main St., Norridgewock, Maine. Snacks and finger food are welcome.
