Athens – Mary Jane Lessard, 67, passed away with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Mary Jane was born on August 24, 1958, daughter to Robert and Avis M. Lessard in Athens. Mary Jane lived a life that was filled with family and friends that she loved and a heart that always helped. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Always having a quick smile for those she loved and a heart that always helped. She was predeceased by her grandmother Laura Avery, mother Avis M. Collins, father Robert Lessard, stepfather Ralph P. Collins, sister-in-law Myrtle Collns, infant sister Linda Collins and niece Jessika Collins-Withee. Mary Jane will be lovingly remembered by her partner Jon Elliot; son Kendall Judd and his partner Amanda Palmer; grandson Gunner Judd; sisters Roberta Lessard and Marlene Griffin and her husband Edward Griffin, and Avis R. Collins and her partner Greg Smith; brothers Ralph Collins and Donald Collins; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 4, 2025, at 11:00am at Mt. Rest Cemetery located at the intersection of Academy Street and the Back Road in Athens. Reverend Mark Tanner will be officiating.
