Our beloved brother, Mark Fortin, age 61, passed peacefully at home on February 5, 2026. He was the fourth child of Jean Paul and Marie Fortin of Skowhegan. Mark graduated from Skowhegan Area High School before entering the United States Army, where he served for four years and completed his service with the rank of Sergeant. He was very proud of his military service. Mark was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and Vespas. Mark was exceptionally bright, often quite funny, and at the same time a very gentle and fragile soul. We take comfort in knowing we will meet again and be together forever. He was predeceased by his parents and by his sister, Joan Burnham. Mark leaves behind his brother, Steve Fortin, and his wife, Penny, as well as his two sisters, Mona Fortier and Michelle Fortin. He will also be sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. A spring burial will be announced at a later date.
