Lynn Anita Huff, a devoted wife, mother, and friend known for her kindness and creative spirit, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8th, at EMMC in Bangor, Maine.
Born in Ottawa, Canada, to Roderick and Jacqueline Tremblay, Lynn spent her early years living in Canada before her family eventually moved to New Hampshire, where they settled in Dover and Somersworth. She attended local schools and graduated from Somersworth High School, later attending Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire.
In 1976, Lynn married Wayne Huff of Dover, New Hampshire, and together they built a life centered around family and nature. After welcoming their daughter, Amy Marie, the family moved to North New Portland, Maine, where they built a cozy log cabin and lived off-grid for many years. Eventually, they settled in Albion, Maine, residing there for thirty years before retiring in Winterville Plantation.
Lynn cherished her family, her pets, and the natural beauty surrounding her home. An avid crafter, she lovingly knitted countless hats for children throughout her years working for CMP. She found peace watching wildlife outside her window, and her home was always filled with warmth and creativity.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of forty-eight years, Wayne Huff; her daughter, Amy Marie Gregoire, and son-in-law, Paul, of Skowhegan; her sister, Pennie Cormier, and brother-in-law, Jerry, of Glen Burnie, Maryland; her brother, Philip Tremblay, and Missy of Yulee, Florida; her sister, Dannielle Spurny, and brother-in-law, John, of Mountain Home, Idaho; her sister-in-law, Linda Huff, and Eric Leighton of Dover, New Hampshire; and many cousins in Canada. She is also survived by her loving dog, Gunner, and special cat, Smokey, both of whom she rescued from abandonment.
Lynn's legacy of warmth and compassion lives on in the hearts of her loved ones. She will be missed but never forgotten by all who knew and cherished her. There will be a graveside service in the spring to honor her memory.
