Obituary

Benton- Lorraine Helen Pullen, 86, passed away on Monday April 28th at Northern Lights Hospital in Waterville, Maine. Lorraine was born on January 8th, 1939 in Lewiston, Maine the daughter of Charlie and Elsie Farrar. Lorraine went to school in Sumner, Maine. Following school, she worked at Decosta Egg Factory, was a waitress at Chuckwagon, worked in a Shoe Factory, and later worked at Sebasticook Floral/ Green House where she retired. Lorraine had a green thumb and a love for flowers. Lorraine was a widow of Richard Pullen. They celebrated 43 years of marriage together. Lorraine enjoyed spending time at their home in Florida as well as their camp in Eustis, road tripping with her daughter Cindy, and being at Pines Island Beach in Florida. Lorraine loved going to the Casino with her son in law Alan (it didn't matter where they were if there was a casino she would have to stop & Alan wasn't good at telling her no). She loved her Tuesday evening dinner dates and spending Saturdays with her grand daughter Megan and most recently her newest great grandchild Kali Duncan. Lorraine had a love for fried clams and red hot dogs as well blowing things up, making loud bangs, and causing trouble. Lorraine loved boat cruises, she went on one in May with Alan, Cindy, and Megan where she enjoyed room service, listening to the ocean from the balcony, endless food, strawberry daiquiris, and of course the casino. Lorraine enjoyed seeing her grandkids and great grandkids, they always lit her face up. Lastly, Lorraine was not afraid to tell you how it was or speak what was on her mind. She often kept us on our toes with what she might say next. She was one of a kind and she will be missed by many. She made such an impact on our lives. We have so many memories and laughs to share amongst each other over the years. Lorraine was predeceased by her father Charlie Farrar and mother Elsie Farrar, husband Richard Pullen, and siblings Jeanette, Arthur, Roger, Vernon, Cleston, and Children George Legere, and Dane Legere. Lorraine was survived by her children Lorene Smith and spouse Roland, Darlene Veilleux and spouse David, Kenneth Bagallay, Becky Wentworth and spouse Kenny, Cindy Witham and spouse Alan, as well as extended family member (like a son to her) Freddie Whitman.
