Kodi Ernest Merrill passed away unexpectedly on February 24, 2026, following a tragic accident.

Kodi lived a big, vibrant life—one filled with energy, humor, determination, and a free spirit. His journey, like many of ours, carried both joys and challenges, memorable moments and hard earned lessons. He was never someone who faded into the background; instead, he left a lasting impression on everyone who crossed his path.

Kodi leaves behind a large family, both by blood and by choice—far too many to name. This includes his father and stepmother, his many siblings, maternal grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, his five children, and countless extended and chosen family members who will continue to carry his memory forward.

He was predeceased by his mother and his paternal grandparents, who now hold him close once again.

Though his time here was far too short, Kodi lived life on his own terms, and his presence will not soon be forgotten.
