Obituary

Juanita "Neter-Ann" Ann Holliman-Hale was a devoted mother, Grammie, Gigi, and friend. After bravely facing a rare and aggressive cancer, she passed away peacefully in the early morning of January 28th, 2025, at the age of 78, with her loving daughter by her side. Born on May 30th, 1946, to Mary and Woodrow Holliman, Juanita spent many years working as a waitress in Tulsa, Oklahoma, before building a long and respected career as a Material Processor at The Boeing Company in Wichita, Kansas, where she became a cherished part of the aircraft company. After retiring, Juanita embraced life to the fullest, indulging in her love for gambling, dancing of all styles, shopping, and cruising. In her later years, Juanita moved to Maine to be close to her daughter, Tina, and her son-in-law, Shannon. During that time, Juanita and Tina embarked on countless road trips in her cherished 2004 Lincoln Town Car. Always along for the ride was her beloved African Grey parrot, Baby, whose cage was securely strapped in the backseat. With each turn, Juanita would call out, "Hold on, hold on!"—and Baby always did. Juanita's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with them. Known for her quick wit and playful spirit, she kept up with the younger generations, laughing, joking, and even challenging her great-grandchildren to a competitive game of hot potato in her final days. A woman of deep faith, Juanita found comfort and community at Kennebec Valley Baptist Church, where she was warmly welcomed from her very first visit. She is survived by her beloved parrot, Baby; her granddog, Bentley; her son, Allen Dale Aliff; her daughter, Tina (Shannon) West; her granddaughters, Breanna Brown-Smith and Kierstin (Alan Reese) Brown; her great-grandchildren, Maia, Averie, and AJ; her sister, Dorris Betts; her niece, Betty Vowell; her great-nieces, Kristy (Troy) Buttrey and Shaunda Miller Page; and many other loving family members and friends. Juanita's warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her name to Kennebec Valley Baptist Church located at 91 Marston Rd, Waterville, ME 04901. https://kvbchurch.churchcenter.com/giving/to/juanita-hale
