Madison – John E. Libby, 65, passed away on January 19, 2024, at the Hospice House in Auburn with friends and family by his side. John was born on January 23, 1958, son to Janice (Young) and Clyde A. Libby Jr. in Skowhegan. He graduated from Skowhegan High School and then went on to marry Linnie Day, and raising son, Jason Libby. John worked various jobs, his last job being a Department Manager at Walmart. John loved spending his time with friends and family. He was predeceased by both his parents, wife Linny Libby, sister Pamela (Libby) Shorey, and his maternal and paternal grandparents. John is survived by his son Jason Libby of Skowhegan; two grandchildren; siblings Rhonda York of Madison, Tracy Dube of Anson, and Ricky Libby of Madison; several nieces and nephews; as well as several close friends Rig and Sue of Madison, and Will on the hill. John left this world on his own terms. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. We would like to extend our thanks to Hospice House in Auburn for making his last days comfortable. There will be a graveside service on May 11th, 2024, at 2:00pm, located at the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in North Anson.
