Norridgewock – Jody-Lee (Carlow) Crews of Norridgewock, passed September 20, 2023, with her family by her side, following a brief battle with cancer at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta. Jody was born on May 19, 1961, in Waterville to the late Vernon Carlow and late Brenda (Nason) Carlow.
She graduated from Waterville in 1980 and soon after joined the Army. While stationed in Germany she met the love of her life, Timothy L. Crews and they married in 1983. They spent 41 wonderful years together as they raised their five children and watched their family grow, later being blessed with 14 grandchildren.
She held several positions during her working career. But mostly in the health field, from CNA to CRMA to Med Tech I. Loving her most recent job as office manager, she was proud to be employed by and work with the staff at Kennebec Behavioral Health. To say the least, she enjoyed helping others.
Jody loved spending time with her family. Her weekends were usually loud with laughter and yelling of grandkids. When she wasn't attending their sports events or recitals, she could be found crafting one thing or another for them. Jody was a woman of many talents. She could sew, crochet, bake, cook, and draw quite well. Jody was also known for her unconditional love. No matter what her kids did, her door was always open, and a bed made up. That kindness extended to family and friends. If they were in need, she was there to make sure there was a roof over their head and their belly was full. She made friends wherever she went.
She is survived by her husband Timothy L. Crews of Norridgewock, daughter Maranda Mathieu of Farmington, son Timothy B. Crews and significant other Monica Pollard of Winslow, son Clayton Crews of Norridgewock, son Jonathan "Kyle" Crews of Albion and daughter Macey Raynes and her husband Nathan of Winslow. Grandchildren Isaiah, Alex, Cassidy, Ava, Mayleigh, Brayden, Bentley, Jocelyn, Aubrey, Owen, Briella, Braelyn, Xavier, and Sianna. Brothers Vernon, Scott and John, sisters Deborah, Anissa, Jennifer and Christine and their spouses/companions, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family would like to thank Kennebec Behavioral Health and Jeff Chadbourne Trucking for their support during this time. They would also like to thank the staff at Alfond Center of Health for the excellent care they provided.
A celebration of life will be held at the Waterville Elks Lodge (downstairs) on Oct. 14th, 2023, from 1pm-4pm.
