Skowhegan-Jeffrey B. McKechnie, 61, passed away on May 14, 2024. As a mechanic Jeffrey worked at Ace Tire for many years then moved on to VIP, followed by Friend Ford. He was good at building furniture and working on computers.

His true passion was working on vehicles. It showed when he opened his own business J’s Auto. He quickly became known for his fair prices and his honesty. Gaining him many repeat customers. His motto was "we can make them go again". Whether it was wiring up a vehicle, doing diagnostic work, or even completely redoing an engine, he was always up for a challenge, even when it included inventing his own tools to get the job done.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Tina, his daughters, Jessanda with her wife Catrina and Deidre with her husband Timothy, his granddaughters Victoria, Cailyn, Zoe, and Ali, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edith, and his brothers.

He will be remembered by all.

A graveside service to celebrate Jeffrey's life will be held at East Skowhegan Cemetery, 449 Oak Pond Road, Skowhegan, Maine, 04976, on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 1:00 pm.
