Obituary

Skowhegan – Jeffery "Jeph" Aaron Norton, 41, passed away on June 24th, 2024. Jeph attended Skowhegan schools and graduated with honors from Skowhegan Area High School. Jeph was a proud Army Veteran. Jeph was known for his free-spirited nature and deep love for his family and friends. He lived life by his own rules and embraced a lifestyle that allowed him to express himself freely. He traveled to many states meeting lots of friends along the way. Jeph was a chef who loved to cook, his knife skills were superb. His genuine care and loyalty towards those close to him made him beloved among his family and friends. Music played a significant role in Jeph's life; he found solace within the sounds, which resonated deeply within him. Jeph had an adventurous spirit as well, always ready to explore new places or go hiking amidst natures beauty. He enjoyed tenting in the woods and having a fire by the river, as this was his very favorite place to be. Jeph is survived by his mother Karen Hamer, stepdad Brian Hamer, and the one he called dad Vaughn Giggey; sisters Elizabeth Jenness with nephews Dominick and Deidrick Paoletti, and stepsister Janice Giggey; brother Arthur Giggey, and soul brothers Joe Williams and Kyle Wyman. He was preceded in death by brother, Little Vaughn Giggey, and his nephew, Joey Paoletti. In this time of grief, we will gather for a celebration of Jeph's life on July 20th, 2024, at 11:00am at Robbins Hill in Solon Maine. Followed by a reception at Daystar Chapel in Madison Maine. Please bring a lawn chair and umbrella for your comfort. May we find comfort knowing that our beloved family member and friend, Jeffery A. Norton, left an imprint on the world as an individual who lived his life to the fullest. May his legacy inspire us to embrace our true selves and to cherish the bonds of friendship with unwavering love. His chains of this world are now broken, he has been set free to explore heavenly adventures with Jesus for Eternity.
