Obituary

Norridgewock – James Glenwood Gordon, 78, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2025, at his home with his loving family by his side. Jim was born on August 6, 1946, the son of Glenwood and Alice Gordon. He was a beloved member of his community and a devoted member of the Norridgewock Fire Dept. His love for his community was evident in the 35 years he dedicated as "Santa" for NFD spreading Christmas cheer that was always looked forward to by so many in the community. Jim spent his entire career as an Operating Engineer for Local 4 in Boston. After retirement, Jim most enjoyed traveling with his wife, camping, fishing, hunting, and following his grandchildren. Jim's greatest love and pride was his family and being "Pépère. He was predeceased by seven siblings. Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years Pamela; daughters Raelene Allen with her husband David and Victoria Keene with her husband Mark; his greatest pride were his grandchildren DJ, Jasmine, and Hunter who helped him share his love and crazy antics throughout our family, David and Samantha Allen with his great-grandchildren Evelyn, Caroline, and Charlie, Jonathan and Jasmine Doyen with his great-grandchildren Ariyah and Aaliyah, and Hunter and Emma Allen; sister Elaine Pindar; in-laws Martha Murray, Mike and Linda Atkinson, Doug and Noreen Murray, Lenny and Donna Bickford; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and friends. Everyone who knew him has a story to tell. We will be sharing many of these stories on May 3rd, 2025, at a campfire at 4:00pm located at 85 Longley Road in Madison. A graveside service will be held at Sunset View Cemetery on Mercer Road in Norridgewock on May 4, 2025, at 1:00pm followed by a reception at Norridgewock Fire Dept. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Norridgewock Fire Dept. at P.O. Box 7, Norridgewock, Maine 04957.
