Jacqueline Ann Cowan
Madison - Jacqueline Ann Cowan, 89, born July 7, 1936, to Walter and Constance Kay, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026.
Jacqueline was born in Madison, Maine, and graduated from Madison Area Memorial High School in 1954. She remained a lifelong resident of Madison, deeply rooted in her community and faith.
Jacqueline was actively involved with the St. Sebastian Thrift Store, where she especially enjoyed working in the children's section. She was an avid baker, well known for her exceptional baking skills, and took great pride in sharing her treats with family, friends, and neighbors. Jacqueline frequently enjoyed knitting or tackling puzzles when she wasn't busy cooking, as these hobbies brought her both joy and comfort.
She was first married to her beloved husband, A. Clement Caron, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. Following his passing, she later married Norman Cowan in 1991 and was widowed again in 1994. Jacqueline was also predeceased by her parents and her sisters, Fran Green and Mary Bergel.
Jacqueline leaves behind a large and loving family, including her five children: Clement Caron of Michigan, Colette Caron of Madison, James Caron of Steep Falls, Dennis Caron of Madison, and Renee Caron of Florida. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, all of whom were a great source of joy and pride in her life.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on May 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at a graveside service held at St. Sebastian Cemetery in Madison. A luncheon will follow, provided by the Daughters of Isabella, at the SRS Building.
