Isebella Louise (Meunier) Witham, born on December 7, 1940, in Rome, Maine, passed away on July 14,2024 at home with her daughters by her side. She walked an extraordinary path that reflected her charismatic, loving, spirited, and resilient soul. A light that shone brightly, Isebella's journey was filled with love, strength, and an unwavering faith. She attended schools in Norridgewock and graduated from Skowhegan High School, class of 1959. Her professional journey led her to work in the same building in Norridgewock, Maine for 45 yrs. First with Norwalk Shoes then New Balance where she served as a floor worker and worked her way up to supervisor from 1982 until her retirement in 2004. She later found joy working at Al's Pizza for 12 years, officially retiring in 2016. Isebella's spirit, however, was never defined by her professional accomplishments, but rather the love she poured into her family, friends, and her firm belief in God.
Isebella's love story with her late husband, Lloyd M. Witham Sr., whom she married in 1961 and was married for fifty-three wonderful years before his passing, was the stuff of fairy tales - a testament of her belief in the power of love. Together, they created a beautiful family, filled with laughter, warmth, and shared memories. Her favorite pastimes were many years of camping with the family and playing Bingo with her sister Cindy whom she missed dearly these last few years. Also playing cards with the family and grandkids as they got older. Alot of Cribbage's games were played by her, the family, and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Boynton, and Michelle Witham; her siblings, Charlotte (Larry) Higgins, Shianne Witham, Wilfred Meunier, Norman (Polly) Meunier, Wayne (Linda) Meunier, Gene Meunier and brothers and sisters in laws, Carl Laney Sr, Avis Willey, Rosie and Don Wood; her grandchildren, Zachary (Traci) Witham in Maine, Cory (Megan) Witham in Texas, Craig (Jennifer) Witham in Texas, her great-grandchildren Emma, Zoe, Bo, and Jaxon Witham in Maine; her additional great-grandchildren, Emma, Elliott, and Jaynie Mae in Maine and her great-grands in Texas Lilliana, Trent, Kayliegh and Layne; some wonderful special friends, Marie Picciuto a dear childhood friend, Thaxter and Mina Cole, Joel and Laurie Violette and Harry and Leona Turcotte; and also some fabulous neighbors that would help us out with anything for mom, Bob and Lori Farmer, Dana and Vicki Merrill.
Isebella was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Meunier and Arlene Austin; her beloved husband, Lloyd M. Witham Sr.; her sons, Lloyd M. Witham Jr. and Craig Witham; her siblings Agnes and Husband Junior Dion, Cindy Laney, Ludger Jr., and Gordon (Margaret) Meunier; sisters and brothers-in-law Beverly Meunier, Kathy and Roger Warren, Maxine Furbush-Peters, Arlene Frost, Doris and Carroll Kinney, Maurice Witham, Royce and Eleanor Witham, Leslie and Jody Witham, Archie Jr., Roger, and beloved in laws Etta and Archie Witham.
She loved and was loved fiercely, and that love will continue to shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Also, many thanks to Beacon Hospice for the last year and her many nurses and CNA's that came to take care of her, Lori and Brandy were her constants, and we thank them for their special care of our mother. Dr Lambke for the many years of taking care of her and our dad. He is the most special doctor that we could have asked for our parents' care and understanding, not too many doctors will come to your house anymore and he thought nothing of seeing our mother in the last few months of her life at home in her house. Also, her sister Charlotte for coming to see her every week and not complaining when mom would call her at 1 in the morning to talk. Many, many thanks to the people that called and visited Mom in her last few months as we know she appreciated it and looked forward to their calls and visits.
