Inez Christine Cyr March 23,1955 - May 29, 2024 Benton, Maine – Inez Cyr, age 69, of Benton, passed away after a 4-year courageous battle of cancer on May 29, 2024, at the Bangor hospital with her family by her side. Inez was born in Waterville, on March 23, 1955, the daughter of the late Jennie Cyr and Edward Cyr. After she graduated in 1973 from Lawrence High School in Fairfield, she was a stay-at-home mother raising her two daughters and later became a cosmetologist working in a few local salons. She also sold Avon and Longaberger baskets. Her Longaberger and Boyd's Bear 1st Edition collection was as big as her heart. She was a self-employed video store and gift shop owner in Fairfield most of her working life. Inez loved flower gardening, crafting, ceramics, traveling to Pennsylvania, cruising, and spending time with her family and many friends who she loved to laugh with and cared for deeply. She is predeceased by both her parents, grandparents, and infant siblings Edwards Cyr Jr, Louise Cyr, and Betty Jane Cyr. She is survived by her daughters Kerri Bickford (Rich) of Fairfield, Kelly Bickford (Michael) of Burnham, Her brother Richard Cyr (Sue) of Waterville, grandchildren Logan Fortin and Lila Duplisea, Nieces Crystal and Sarah, Nephew Max, father of her children Jonathan Bickford, longtime friends Melody Leary and Becky Dixon, Aunt Ida Stevens, Several Cousins and many brother and sister in laws from the Bickford family whom she always considered family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, Oct 13, 2024, at 1pm at VFW 175 Veteran Drive in Winslow, Maine. A private burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Fairfield right beside her loving mother. The family would like to thank her friends and family members for the countless rides to appointments and helping in so many ways and the Augusta and Bangor Cancer Center staff members.
