Gloria A. Matteson from Solon, Maine passed away on Oct 2, 2025 at the age of 82. She passed away at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine. She passed with a very special angel by her side. She was born December 25,1942 in Biddeford, Maine to Francis Payeur and Emma [Edell] Payeur. She graduated from High School in Baltimore, M.D. Her career consisted of Parole and Probation Dept. at the Courthouse in Md . Federal Trade Commission in D.C.as a secretary in what they called a secretary pool. J. Ernest Esq. D.C. Lobbyist. Browing-Ferris Industries East Central Regional Office, Baltimore, M.D.as Administrative Asst. To the President. Cummins Engine Co. In Baltimore, M.D. As Administrative Secretary to the President. After retiring she work part-time in Madison for Irving as a cashier. She enjoyed shopping and Amazon was one of her favorite place to shop. She enjoyed eating out and buying decorative stuff and all Victorian and vintage. She lived a full life and experiencing joy, sadness, loved and felt loved. She did right and wrong. She went through life seeing how it really was and maintained a sense of human through it all. She was predeceased by her wonderful parents Emma and Stepfather Joseph Herbert. Her sons William and Bryan Pearson. Daughter-in-law Donna Pearson. Brother George Payeur. Special friends Rose and Delbert Hayden. She is survived by her son Bobby and wife Juanita of North Carolina. Daughter-in-law Melody Pearson of M.D. And Daughter-in-law Julie Pearson of Fl. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special cousin Carolee Larsen of Newport. Her special Angel who came into her life when she needed her the most France Ouellette. Also special friends who was part of the Harem group. Graveside services will be held in early spring at Sunset Cemetery of North Anson.
