Norridgewock – Geraldine Grace (Frederick) Greenleaf Lapointe, 88, passed away peacefully at Cedar Ridge Center on February 5, 2024. Geri was born on November 21, 1935, daughter to Atwood and Myrtice (Rogers Frederick. Geri was born and raised in Norridgewock and graduated from Skowhegan High School. She worked in the office at Norrwock Shoe Co., as a cleaner at Brownie's Cabins, a secretary at Grafman's and then Knowles and Dressel Co., home knitter, parimutual seller, cashier, and as a foster mother to many children through the years. Geri enjoyed dancing, reading, puzzles, and going for rides with her son in later years. She loved playing cards and didn't mind not winning as long as you lost. She traveled to many states visiting friends and family. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was very interested in genealogy. She told great stories about family and growing up in the area. She was predeceased by both her parents; her beloved son Tami A. Greenleaf in February of 2023; older brother Merrill Frederick, sister Margaret L. (Frederick) Nickerson; first husband Lowell (Sonny) Greenleaf, Jr.; and also second husband Robert J. Lapointe. Geri is survived by her daughter Roberta; granddaughter Danielle (Greenleaf) Miller with husband Andy of Nebraska; grandson Nathan L. Richardson of Fairfield; great-grandchildren Bradley and Ashlee Miller of Nebraska, Miranda and Vincent Dube of Maine, brother Edward T. Frederick and sister-in-law Gloria J. Frederick, many nieces, nephews, and cousins; along with her special nieces Debbie (Nickerson) Merrithew, Elaine (Frederick) Wheeler; and very special nephews Artie Wheeler and Kirk Frederick. The family wants to thank the staff at Cedar Ridge, especially Angela and Riley.
