Franklin “Bugsy” D. Drown Jr., 62, of Skowhegan, passed on to God Tuesday July 8, 2014 in Portland, Maine. He was brought into this world on October 23, 1951 in Rumford, Maine, by his parents Velmer Florence Harris and Franklin Dexter Drown Sr., who preceded him. He graduated from Mount Blue High School in the class of 1972. He married the love of his life Juliette Judith (McGraw) Drown on December 14, 1974 in Skowhegan, Maine, where he and his wife still reside. For many years he worked for North Anson Reel and then Sonoco. Later he worked many odd jobs like; lawn care, trash removal and park maintenance. He loved fishing, camping, hunting, spending time with loved ones and friends and he was an animal lover. He also loved joking around and to get everyone going. He is survived by his daughters, Theresa Drown and her fiancé James Allen Travers of Skowhegan, Lisa (Drown) White and her husband Jeffrey Sr. of TN, his grandchildren; Amanda Jean (Brooks) Stubblefield of TN, Nathan Scott Stubblefield of TN, Maleah Stubblefield of TN, Angelica Brooks of Skowhegan, Delenn Travers of Skowhegan, Jeffrey White Jr of TN, his sister Jane Ann (Drown) Hastings and his brother David Allen Drown, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his two cats “Smokey” and “Friska”. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Ronald Drown and his sister Joyce Drown. Viewing hours will be held on Thursday July 17, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine. A graveside service will be held on Friday July 18, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the East Skowhegan Cemetery, Oak Pond Rd., Skowhegan, Maine.
