Norridgewock - Eugene "Gene" F. Knight, 82, passed away Monday, July 22, 2024, at his home. Gene was born in Rome on November 8, 1942, the son of Kenneth Knight, Sr. & Virginia (French) Knight. He was one of 12 children. He was married to Leatrice (Redlevske) Knight. After working for Hutamaki for 32 years, Gene retired and moved on to working part-time in maintenance at Maine Eye Care. Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching the Red Sox, and spending time at his wood lot in Industry. He loved to spend time with family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Jody (Knight) Witham and Esther (Knight) Paul, brothers Eddie Knight, Donnie Knight, Vernie Knight, Dennie Knight, and Roland Knight, and special friends Leo Beaulieu and Bob Wood. Gene is survived by his wife of 58 years Leatrice, son and daughter-in-law Craig and Rae Lynne Knight, granddaughters Myranda Knight Richardson and her husband Kaeson Richardson, and Ashlee Knight and her partner Aaron Nadeau, great-granddaughter Hazel Richardson, sisters Rolene (Knight) Harris and Linda (Knight) Rackliffe, and brothers Kenny Knight Jr. and Dana Knight, many nieces and nephews, and special friends Red and Sally Wheaton, and Harry and Nicole Luce. A celebration of life will be held at his home in Norridgewock on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 2:00pm.
