Norridgewock - Ernestine "Tina" Ardell (Bailey) Holt, 82, of Norridgewock, passed away on May 16, 2026, at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home in Skowhegan, with her family by her side.
She was born in Skowhegan on June 2, 1943, the daughter of Ernest and Elsie (Walker) Bailey. She attended Skowhegan schools and graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1961. She then married the love of her life Richard C. Holt on April 5th, 1963, they spent 52 wonderful years together. Her and her husband Richard loved attending their grandchildren's sporting events and could always been seen cheering them on in the crowd.
Tina worked at the Woolworth's Lunch Counter in Skowhegan and later at Redington-Fairview General Hospital as the head cook, where she remained until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Either by playing bingo, bowling, going on picnics, or going to the casinos. She also loved her daily chats on the phone with her sister Clara, weekly card playing sessions on Tuesdays, and caring for her beloved animals. She was also a dedicated member of East Madison Grange #228 for more than 50 years.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Elsie Bailey, her husband Richard C. Holt, and by her sister, Brenda Bailey.
She is survived by her son, Richard A. Holt of Norridgewock; her daughter, Kimberly (Holt) Foster and her husband, David Foster Sr., of Norridgewock; her grandchildren, David Foster Jr. and his partner, Laura, of Sanford, and Caleb Foster and his wife, Katelynn, of Smithfield; her great-grandchild, Everlynn Foster; her sister, Clara Richardson and her husband, Dan, of Skowhegan; her brother, Ernest Bailey Jr. (Bud) and his wife, Wanda, of Skowhegan; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on June 13 at the Church of Faith, 798 Canaan Road, Skowhegan. There will be a gathering at the American Legion Post #16 located at 217 Waterville Road, Skowhegan where light refreshments will be served following the service.
The family extends sincere thanks to Dr. Gomez, ER Nurse Jake of Redington-Fairview General Hospital, and the staff of Cedar Ridge Nursing Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Somerset Animal Shelter.
