Fairfield - Edwin (Eddie) J. Weeks, 61, was taken from this life unexpectedly at his home in Fairfield on November 28, 2023. He was born on January 18, 1962, to Warren L. And Cynthia M. Weeks. He grew up in Fairfield, where alongside his older brother, he was taught how to work the farm by his dad. He loved farming and spent most of his life working on local farms. He graduated from Lawrence High School where he was a member of the marching band playing the trombone, trumpet, and tuba. He was an active member of his church and had an unwavering faith in the Lord. He was employed by Worship Radio in Augusta and was very fond of all of whom he worked with. Eddie loved being outdoors, no matter the season, and was always happy to cast a line when he got a chance. He enjoyed old sitcoms; Star Trek was his favorite of all time. He never failed to help someone in need and could find the good in someone even when no one else could. He is predeceased by his parents, grandparents, half-brother Lowell Weeks, several aunts, uncles, and beloved cousins. He is survived by his siblings Marguerite Davis and husband Bruce of MI, David Weeks and wife Melanie of NE, Ellen Gogan and husband John of ME, Kenneth Weeks and partner Karen Rackliff of ME, Patricia Cole and partner Robert Nickerson of ME, nieces and nephews Sandy, Chad, Shannon, Audrey, Benjamin, Ashley, Aiden, Kyle, Damien, and Skyler, many great nieces and nephews, as well as cousins, all of whom he loved dearly. Funeral services will be held in the Summer of 2024. Eddie will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers the family ask that you perform a random act of kindness or lend a helping hand to someone who needs it. One act can make all the difference to someone.
