Skowhegan – Douglas Chester Annett, 75, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2024, at Redington Fairview General Hospital. Doug was born November 20, 1948, in Bangor, son to Chester E. and Norma (Clifford) Annett.
He worked in the construction field, including Cianbro and Bowman Brothers. Though he excelled there, his passion was woodworking.
He was predeceased by both his parents, brother Richard and his wife Gayle.
Doug is survived by his wife of 27 years Linda (Irwin) Annett; daughters Cindy Annett with her companion Mike, Denise Corriveau with her husband Neil, and Christa Irwin; Ron Valli, who was like a son; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister Patricia Marin with her husband Jerry; brothers William Annett with his wife Lori and Dennis Annett with his wife Mary; in-laws Richard and Bertha Irwin; as well as special friends Dana and Paula Turcotte. He will be missed dearly by his velcro dog Duke.
At Doug's request there will be no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be announced for the Spring.
