Burnham – Donald Elwood Towers, 71, passed away on August 13, 2024, with his wife by his side. Donald was born on April 15, 1953, in Belfast, son to Ruth Emiline (Harvey) and Arnold Edward Towers. A proud graduate of Camden Rockport Schools and a lifelong Dairy Farmer, Donald demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his community and his land.

Donald’s Christian faith was the foundation of his life, guiding his actions and relationships. His resilience shone through not only in his tireless work on his dairy farm but also in his ability to find joy and peace in simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, hobbies that allowed him to deeply connect with the natural world around him.

His charisma was undeniable, his laughter infectious, and his spirit invincible. He was a man who found his happiness in the love of his life, Gladys Chase, to whom he was deeply devoted.

He was preceded in death by both his parents and five of his brothers and sisters.

Donald is lovingly remembered by his wife, Gladys; brother, William Towers; sisters, Sheila and Patsy; daughter, Karen Williams and her husband, Dan; granddaughters, Abbey and Katrina; special nephew Mark Towers and his girlfriend Shawna Ryder; special caretaker, Candida Young; as well as his beloved dog, Bella.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, August 31, 2024, 12:00pm, located at 110 South Main Street, in Burnham.
