Vassalboro - Debra "Deb" Jean McLaughlin, 61, passed away unexpectedly at her home in the early morning hours on Sunday, October 27, 2024. Deb was born on January 10, 1963, in Augusta to Raymond and Virginia Seeley, though recognized Melvin and Deloris McCaslin as her parents. She had a very unstable childhood, though it shaped her into the amazing mother and woman she became. Deb was a hard worker her whole life with a strong work ethic. She worked for several years as a nurse's aide after receiving her GED, then moved forward in her career to the food industry. Deb had worked in several restaurants and eventually owned her own restaurant and concession stand. This took her to travel across the state doing state fairs and events for the UBM. She had a love for cooking, gardening, singing, her animals, helping others, horses, though most importantly, she had an immense love for her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by both her birth parents and adoptive parents. Deb is survived by her children Tasha Pratt and Steven Seeley with fiancé Megan; grandchildren Tobias, Kole, Jaelyn, Zayden, and Skylyn; extended family Sandra, Katherine, Hope, and Frank as well as many friends and loved ones. Deb will be remembered for her strength right up until the very end, her beautiful voice, her kindness, and her fiery spirit, which served to strengthen everyone that she ever met. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 12 p.m. at 255 Trafton Road in Waterville.
