Oakland - Debbie A Davis, 64, passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer on Monday Nov. 6, 2023. She was born on October 12, 1959, in Gardiner, Maine. The eldest daughter of Woodrow and Frances (Rogers) Williams. Debbie married her husband Donald A Davis on April 10, 1981. Debbie graduated from Messalonskee High School in Oakland. After graduating she worked at McDonalds on Main St in Waterville. Upon leaving McDonalds she opened her own ceramic shop in Oakland. Debbie and her son, Billy-Lane, started concessions for fairs and other events.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends Donna and Clayton Smith, and Peter and Linda Jenson. Debbie loved running her concessions at Blistered Fingers. She enjoyed talking to Sandy Cormier and listening to the Blue Grass music. The United Bikers of Maine Statewide event in New Portland meant a lot to her and she always looked forward to being a part of it and being with her friend DeeDee.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents Frances R Williams and Woodrow L Williams Sr., her mother and father-in-law Vinyl and Gladys Davis, brother Edward Williams, nephews Andrew Williams and Peter Fox, a great nephew Brandon Gay, and great niece Vicki-Sue Williams.
Debbie is survived by her husband of 42 years Donald (Donnie) Davis, two sons David A Davis with his wife Tammi and Billy-Lane E Davis of Oakland. Her grandchildren Harley Davis and Wesley Davis both of Oakland. Her brothers; Woodrow (Woody) Williams with partner Ellen of Oklahoma, Rodney Williams Sr. with wife Debra of Oakland, Perley Williams with partner Cindy of Albion, and Guy Williams Sr. with wife Debbie of Rome, sisters Linda Bailey with husband Mike of Crestview Fl. and Vicki French with husband Wayne of Palermo, sister-in-law Sharon Williams of Fairfield, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as special friends Jeff and Cindy Clapperton.
The Family would like to thank Debbie's sister Vicki for everything she did. Also, a special thank you to; Myonamaria Prescott and Melissa Lawler for all their help with Debbie, Nyoka Williams-Lizotte for the suppers and coffee, Lance and Brook Williams and Drake Williams for helping Billy-Lane, Sharon Williams for sitting at Debbie's bedside and being there whenever Debbie called, and a true friend Cindy Clapperton for giving her rides to and from appointments and sitting at her bedside day and night.
Per Debbie's wishes there will not be a service.
A celebration of life will be held at her home on November 11th, 2023, at 1:00p.m., potluck style.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking for donations to keep Donnie in their home as long as possible, this was Debbie's final request.
