Waterville – David D. Dichard, 79, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, with family by his side. David was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts on April 18, 1945, son to Edward and Nellie (Augustonavich) Dichard. He attended Haverhill High School, graduating in June of 1964. He continued his education through a trade school and earned his certificate in welding. He worked as a Welder through Kado Fabrications in Amsbury, Massachusetts, for 40 years.
David enjoyed fishing, going to casinos, and especially his scratch tickets. He loved traveling with his wife, Karen. Before settling in New Hampshire, then finally in Maine, Karen and David traveled for two years in their motor home between Florida and New York State. A trip that holds many precious memories.
He was predeceased by both his parents, and brothers Robert and Norman.
David is survived by his wife Karen (McNiel) Dichard; daughter Tammy Thayer with her partner William O. Sullivan of North Anson, Maine; sons Dale Thayer of Franklin, New Hampshire, and Benny Bourque with his wife Holly of Nashua, New Hampshire; sister Karen Ivanouskas of Haverhill, Massachusetts; brother Ronald Dichard of Haverhill, Massachusetts; granddaughters Deanna Crowe and Khristina Thayer; and grandsons William David O'Sullivan and Richard Thayer.
Graveside services will be held in the Spring of 2025, at Northwood Cemetery in Northwood, New Hampshire.
