Cynthia J. (Winn) Warger

1942-2026

Cynthia Warger, 84, of Norridgewock, Me, passed from this earth on June 12, surrounded by her loving family.

Cynthia was born Jan 5, 1942, in Colrain, Mass., daughter of Clarence Winn and Viola (Colburn) Winn. She attended Arms Academy in Shelburne Falls, Mass. She married James J. Warger, who preceded her in 2003, on July 1, 1961, in Shelburne Fall, Mass.

She worked as an aide in the Mohawk Trail Regional High School’s AV department. For many years she worked at the Kendall Mills cotton mill in Colrain, Mass. She also ran a tack shop and boarded horses at the farm built by her grandfather David Colburn.

Semi-retired, in 1983 the family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where she worked as a security guard at Ceasar’s Palace, and later for the custodial department at UNLV.

In 1989, the family again relocated to Norridgewock, where she worked at Norridgewock Crossroads Transfer Station, and as a housekeeper at Thayer Hospital in Waterville.

Her hobbies were making sure her yard was full of flowers, reading, crocheting and spending time with her family. She would bring her bag of yarn while babysitting her grandchildren. In later years she always made time to sit and watch her favorite show NCIS.

Survivors include five sons, Todd Warger of Bellingham, Wash, Jeffrey Warger of Norridgewock, Billy Warger and late his wife Amy of Norridgewock, Jason Warger and daughter-in-law Jenny of Skowhegan, Paul Warger and daughter-in-law Beckie of Norridgewock; six grandchildren, Brian Warger and daughter-in-law Deborah, Kimberly (Warger) Danforth and son-in-law Ryan Danforth, Ellie Warger, Cutter Warger, Sadie Warger and Ben Warger, six great-grandchildren, Roza, Jensen, Adrian, Rowan, Noah, and Abigail, and one niece and three nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, grandson Clinton Warger, sister Ruth Powell, brother in-law Harry Warger and her beloved pugs Max and Miley.
