Corine M. Beckwith, 1929-2023 Augusta - Corine M. Beckwith, 94, of Augusta passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023. Corine was born on Feb. 13, 1929 to Leona (Small) and Vinton McKenna in Bath, Maine. She went to Richmond schools. She married Carroll Beaucage in 1950, and lived in Gardiner and Randolph. They had 7 children. After Carroll passed away, Corine married Donald Beckwith in 1969, and their last child was born. They lived in Hallowell and Augusta. Corine lived the last year of her life at Oak Grove Center in Waterville. Corine loved spending time with her family and friends. When the children were young, Corine and Don would bring them to visit Uncle Rodney and Aunt Mert. Their children had fun playing with their cousins while the adults talked. In 1981, Don, Corine, and Lisa enjoyed a trip to see Tim in California. Corine and family enjoyed visits to relatives in Mars Hill, to George and Terry's in Mapleton and to Florida. They also enjoyed trips to Bailey's Island. Corine's surprise 80th birthday party was very special since, along with many friends and family, all her children attended. Corine enjoyed hosting many family gatherings at their home in Augusta. Corine enjoyed cooking, especially baking, playing cards, decorating cakes, putting together puzzles, and playing Bingo. Many of Corine's children and grandchildren have helped with putting her puzzles together when she had an apartment on Hospital Street. Corine was quick to smile, and had an awesome sense of humor. Corine was predeceased by her parents, Leona and Vinton McKenna; first husband, Carroll Beaucage; second husband, Donald Beckwith; children: Linda Donaghy and Bonnie Rinehart; many in-laws, and siblings: Robert, Kenneth, Harold, Roland, Beverly, Rodney, Judith, Larry, Stevie, and Sue. Corine is survived by her family and friends. She is survived by her children: Cecile Urbieta, Tom Beaucage, Debbie Cloutier, Terry Pinkham, Tim Beaucage and his wife, Lori, and Lisa Beckwith; her 13 grandchildren: Julia, Chris, Donald, Daniel, Michelle, Vernon, Aaron, Cory, Erika, Brandi, Tessa, Jason, and Mackenzie; her 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. A gathering will be held at the Oakland boat landing after 4 p.m. on Weds., August 2nd. There will be no service as per Corine's request.
