Cora Elizabeth Kane, 89, of Athens went to rest high on the mountain with her Lord and Saviour on Sept. 10, 2022. She was born September 28, 1932. Grandma was surrounded by her husband of 64 years Francis Eugene Kane of Athens, her son Vincent of Van Buren AK, her daughters Darline from Seven Springs NC, and Irma and Louise from Athens, and her granddaughter Mandie and her fiancée James and boys Pacey and Braxton from Seven Springs NC. She passed as we sang her favorite hymns to help her cross the river. Grandma has eight other grandkids and twelve great grandkids. We love you Grandma, you will be forever missed. Graveside services will be held on Friday September 16 at 2:30pm at Mount Rest Cemetery in Athens. Reception to follow at Harmony Baptist Church in Harmony under the leadership of Pastor Bob Young.
