Christopher John Doherty of Benton, Maine Passed away peacefully at home Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at age 59 alongside his devoted wife, and soulmate Traci Cannon. Christopher was born May 16th, 1966, in Newton, Ma. The son of Neil Doherty Sr and Maureen Monro. He spent most of his childhood on the West Coast and his adult years in Colorado and on the East Coast. He became a well-known painter and handyman. He loved the ocean on both shores. Often finding the most peace at Laguna Beach, California and Old Orchard Beach, Maine. He loved horseback riding and was a "true cowboy" at heart. He valued all his family very much. He was an adoring husband and devoted father and grandfather. Always showering them with unconditional love, humor and guidance. Christopher loved music and was a die-hard Grateful Dead fan and truly proud of his Irish heritage. He travelled all around the world until settling in Maine with his family. He joins his mother, Maureen and brother Stephen in heaven leaving behind his father, Neil Doherty Sr, brother, Neil Doherty Jr And sister Elizabeth Monro, Wife and best friend of 15 years Traci Cannon and their 4 children, Jessica Kaiser, Tyler Cannon, Brianna Cannon and LeeLee Monro and his devoted Son-in-law Charlie Kaiser. His presence will be most missed by his 7 grandchildren Lillyanna, Jayce, Wyatt, Izon, Victoria, Isabella and Erica, whom he cherished. He wanted his family to remember this Irish blessing for when lost he will be here in spirit to guide their way. "May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back, may the sunshine warm upon your face, and the rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again may God hold you in the Palm of his hand." Per request of Christopher there will be no services. He just wanted instead for all whom loved him to do one good deed and pay it forward. For with love all is possible.
