Christine Burt Conte, age 79, passed away peacefully at her home in St. Albans, Maine, on July 5, 2026, surrounded by the comfort of the life she built and the love of those who cherished her. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and beloved GG whose warmth, kindness, and steady presence touched the hearts of many.

Born in Concord, New Hampshire, Christine was the daughter of Fredrick Burt and Barbara Watkins. She graduated from Concord High School in 1965, carrying with her the values of hard work, compassion, and resilience that would guide her throughout her life.

Christine began her career in customer service and administrative work, where her patience and dependability were evident to all who knew her. After returning from a move to Utah in the early 1990s, she discovered a true calling as a companion to the elderly. She brought comfort, dignity, and friendship to those in her care, making that meaningful work her life’s calling until her retirement in 2016.

Outside of her work, Christine found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and playing cribbage, and she loved sharing time with family and friends. Her home was made brighter by her cherished cat, Bubby, and her ever-vigilant guard dog, Willie, both of whom she loved deeply.

Christine will be remembered for her caring heart, her gentle strength, and the love she gave so freely. Her memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons she taught, and the many lives made better by her presence.
