Solon - Chester Roy Garland, 83, passed away on November 21, 2024, at home of natural causes. Chet, as many knew him by, was born in Guilford on May 18, 1941, son to Mildred and Roy Garland. He graduated from high school in Solon. Chet worked as a meter reader for Solon Water District, as well as Merle Lloyd & Sons Earthworks, where he ultimately retired from. He was predeceased by his wife of more than 40 years, Barbara, both his parents, and sister, Meredith Madrid. Chester is survived by his brothers David and Maurice Garland. A funeral service will be held on April 28, 2025, from 12:30pm to 2:30pm at Somerset Valley Remembrance Center located at 19 Washburn Lane, in Skowhegan. Followed by a burial at Sunset Cemetery in North Anson at 3:00pm
