Obituary

Carol Ann Demo, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home with her son, Michael, and her sister, Bea, by her side. Carol leaves behind her son, Michael C. Demo and wife Karen Demo, grandson Kuper Demo, twin-sister Clara Burrill, sister Rowena Kunath, and sister Beatrice Clark.

Carol was predeceased by her husband, Michael W. Demo. Her son Thomas F. Demo, and her grandson Jesse M. Quirion-Demo. Carol also leaves behind her very dear friends Onie and Marie Lougee and their family, and Jackie and Jim Steadman.

Carol led a full life and had many lifelong friends. She also held a few different jobs, while raising her two boys. She worked as an usher at Lakewood Theatre in her teens. After that, she worked at Bell Shops and the Depositor’s Trust Co., both of Skowhegan. Following that, she worked as a secretary for her husband's survey company. Lastly, she worked as a gatekeeper at Lake Caucomgomoc in the North Maine Woods with her husband.

Carol was a loving and kindhearted person. She'll be sadly missed by many.

The family would like to thank a few people who helped care for Carol towards the end, Cynthia Collins, Savannah Witham, and Cherie Curtis. She loved you all!

There will be a Celebration of Life for Carol on September 19th at 1:00 PM. If anyone would like to bring a dish to share, that would be great, but certainly not necessary.

Big shout out also to the people of Beacon Hospice who helped out so much during Carol's last journey. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beacon Hospice, 5 Community Drive, Suite A, Augusta, ME 04330.
